Christian’s musical influences took hold from a very early age. Having spent his teenage years frequenting the vinyl temples of Big Apple, Swag Records and secondhand store Beanos, buying garage, grime and drum and bass, it was another establishment or rather party, that also played a defining role in his musical career. “Technicality” was the forward thinking DnB club night that paid homage to the famous Metalheadz Blu Note parties and it was here, alongside other regulars including Ben UFO, Fold and Breakage that Christian furthered his love of bass driven music. Having released his debut 12″ at the tender age of 17, A1 Bassline has worked on and sought for a sound that he is content with. It was this sound that lead to him signing his music to San Francisco’s dirtybird imprint and over the past two years his productions such as “Buoyancy / Falsehood” and “Why Do You” have gained support from a far wider group of Press, DJ’s and Radio.
