Danse Club Records continues its journey into 90s US house music with a superb new remix package of 95 Norths Let Yourself Go featuring remixes from Matt Tolfrey, Moodymanc & Brodanse Scott & Austen Smart AKA Brodanse are very much tapping into the musical zeitgeist with their recently launched Danse Club Records label. Licensing key 90s US house records and reworking them with some of the hottest producers around they are providing a perfect link between the past and the current appetite for old school house aesthetics. Releases to date from Cherie Lee and Michael Whitehead have seen support from DJs such as Soul Clap, Maxxi Soundsystem, Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler & Delano Smith and have help give the label and instant kudos. Now the sibling label bosses are ready to unleash their third record this time featuring a New Jersey released 1995 classic from 95 North in the shape of Let Yourself Go. The record kicks off with the Let Yourself Go mix showcasing the records musical elements in their original setting with skittering drum programming, organ stabs and those authentic US garage vocals. First of the remixes comes from Leftroom head honcho Matt Tolfrey who takes things into deeper house territory with bubblin bass notes, subtle drum programming and understated melodic elements leading the charge. Next up we have Manchester based Moodymanc who turns in a wonderful rolling reworking in the shape of his Dubble Dark dub, bringing together chunky drums, sparse riffs, high strings and light touches of the vocal. The vinyl package is completed with a remix from label bosses Brodanse who turn in a superb techy and hypnotic version that makes beautiful use of the original parts whilst very much stamping the Brodanse signature on things.Danse Club Records have done it again with another gem from the past reworked for the dancefloors of 2013, enjoy!
